Wednesday's Weekly Water Column

Dear Thames Water,

On 1 November, your pipework in Maida Vale seemed to have a collective fit, roll over and refuse to work. The ensuing FIVE waterbursts meant no water for many residents, the fencing off of a number of roads for several days and, overall, one hell of a mess.

We've requested an explanation several times now. It would be really nice if you might be able to supply us with a proper one.
